Resandhi

Getting started

Resandhi is an assistant that answers your shop's WhatsApp. It replies to customers from your own product list, takes orders, sends a payment link and passes anything tricky to you. This page walks you through setting it up, from sign-up to going live.

You can try it free for 7 days. You do not need a card to start.

What to have ready

  • Your shop's WhatsApp number, and the phone it is on. You will get a one-time code on it.
  • A Facebook account to sign in to Meta with. Your personal one is fine.
  • Your product list, in one of these: a Google Sheet, an Excel or CSV file, or your Shopify store.
  • Your Razorpay account, if you want to take online payments. You can skip this and add it later.
  • Your shop's rules: delivery charges and areas, how people can pay, and your returns policy.

The steps

  1. Sign up. Enter your WhatsApp number and type in the code we send you.
  2. Connect WhatsApp. Meta walks you through it in a few minutes. You keep using the WhatsApp Business app on the same number. See Connect your WhatsApp number.
  3. Connect your products. Paste a Google Sheet link, upload a file, or connect Shopify. You will see what we read before anything goes to customers. See Google Sheets, Excel or CSV or Shopify.
  4. Connect payments. Add Razorpay so the agent can send a payment link in the chat. See Taking payments.
  5. Write your store policies. Delivery, payment and returns, in your own words. The agent quotes them exactly. See Store policies.
  6. Try it yourself. Use the test chat to ask the questions your customers ask. It answers from your own products and policies.
  7. Go live. Press Go live. Your customers start getting answers.

Draft and live

Changes you make, including new products from a sync, first land in a draft. The test chat answers from the draft, so you can try things out safely. Customers are answered from the live version. When you are happy, press Publish and the draft becomes live.

This means a half-finished price change never reaches a customer by accident.

The first chats are reviewed

When you first go live, the agent starts in assisted mode. Its first conversations are reviewed before replies go out, so you can see how it answers your customers and correct anything that is off. After that it replies on its own, and still hands anything it is unsure about to you. See Handoff and the inbox.

What the agent can do

  • Reply in Hindi, English or Hinglish, in whichever language the customer writes.
  • Understand text, voice notes and photos.
  • Search your products and suggest ones that fit what the customer asked for.
  • Build a cart, send a payment link or take a cash on delivery order, and create the order.
  • Tell a customer where their order is.
  • Take a return request. You decide whether to approve it.
  • Hand the chat to you with a short summary when a person is needed.

What it will not do

  • Make up a price, a stock number or a delivery time. Every one of these must come from your products or policies, in the same reply. If it cannot, the reply is stopped. This check is written in code, not left to the AI.
  • Approve a return, invent a discount, or change an amount or an address without the customer confirming.
  • Keep asking questions. After three clarifying questions it hands the chat to you.
  • Chat about things that are not your shop. It politely brings the conversation back to your products.

Your data

Your data is stored in India. Card and UPI details never reach Resandhi: customers pay on the payment gateway's own page.
